Fisherman Job¶
Particularities¶
- the Fisherman job is a safe and easy job to practice for anyone, being able to be done only solo.
- optionally you will need a navigation license if you want to use the boat.
- the job has two ways to catch fish: with the fishing rod or with the fishing net.
- the job can be practiced anywhere on the map where there is water.
- however the fish can only be sold in Fishing Point areas that appear on the map.
The Interaction Menu¶
- at the NPC at the Fishing Point you can press the E key to open the fishing panel.
- there you can open the fisherman's panel, you can sell fish or rent a boat.
Fishing Panel¶
Home¶
- in the Home tab you can see the biggest catch you have had as well as buy fishing rods.
- the more expensive the rod, the shorter the fish-catching time will be.
- also adding bait to the rod will decrease the fish-catching time.
- each rod has a durability that decreases as you catch more fish.
Guide¶
- in the Guide tab you will see the type of fish that exist and their rarity.
- see information about the Boosted Fishing Zone, a special area on the map that increases the chances of catching rarer and bigger fish.
- information about equipment and the importance of acquiring more expensive equipment.
- the importance of also using bait (which is not mandatory but which helps in catching certain types of fish).
Ranking¶
- in the Ranking tab you will see the ranking of the biggest and rarest fish caught.
Quests¶
- in the Quests tab you will see some additional tasks which can bring you some extra money in addition to the money obtained on fish.
Store¶
- in the Store tab you will find various things to help you fish more and better.
- among these are various baits for the rod (those marked as Rod Bait), various baits for fishing nets (those marked as Net Bait), fishing nets, storage containers, anchor and a lucky hat.
Rod Bait:
- it can be attached to the fishing rod and the attachment takes place automatically and helps catch certain types of fish, rarer fish, bigger fish.
- the bait that catches the best fish will be attached automatically first if you have multiple types of bait purchased.
- one bait is consumed at each casting of the rod.
Net Bait:
- it can be attached to the fishing net when you place the net in the water, being able to choose what type of bait you want to attach.
- the bait will decrease the fish-catching time and will increase the chances of catching rarer, bigger fish.
Fishing Net:
- Fishing Net: standard net which has a catching capacity for 10 fish. Its durability is 100 fish caught in total, after which a new one must be bought.
- Fishing Net++: professional net which has a catching capacity for 20 fish. Its durability is 200 fish caught in total, after which a new one must be bought.
Fish Container:
- the storage containers help you occupy fewer slots in your inventory and catch more fish.
- without a container each caught fish will occupy a slot in the inventory.
- with a container all caught fish will go inside the container and the container will occupy a single slot in the inventory.
- Small: has a capacity of 10 fish and a durability of 100 fish caught in total.
- Medium: has a capacity of 20 fish and a durability of 200 fish caught in total.
- Large: has a capacity of 30 fish and a durability of 300 fish caught in total.
- Extra Large: has a capacity of 40 fish and a durability of 400 fish caught in total.
- Huge: has a capacity of 50 fish and a durability of 500 fish caught in total.
Anchor:
- the anchor is useful to keep your boat in place and not be carried by waves if you want to fish from the boat.
- to anchor the boat from inside it open the inventory on the TAB key, hold the cursor on the anchor and right-click then on use.
- a faster method of action is to place the anchor in the inventory on one of the slots 1-5 and then by simply pressing the respective numeric key on the keyboard it will use that thing from the inventory.
- if you put the anchor on slot 2 and press the 2 key, it will try to use the anchor.
Lucky Hat:
- this must be equipped from the inventory similar to how the anchor is used (see above).
- it increases the luck of catching rarer, bigger fish.
Fishing with the Rod¶
Equipping the Rod¶
- to fish with the rod you must have one in your inventory and start using it, hold the cursor on it and right-click then on use.
- a faster method of action is to place the rod in the inventory on one of the slots 1-5 and then by simply pressing the respective numeric key on the keyboard it will use that thing from the inventory.
Using the Rod¶
- the rod must be pointed towards the water and using the left click button you will cast the rod.
- hold left click long to cast the rod further and increase your luck of catching rarer, bigger fish (image #16).
- to stop fishing and hide the rod you can press the H key.
- if you want to remove the bait from the rod you can do this by pressing the Q key.
- after casting the rod into the water, depending on the type of rod, bait and so on, it will catch a fish and you will see a minigame on the screen (image #17).
- all you have to do is press repeatedly on left click or on the space key until the box is filled with the green color and the fish is caught.
- if for various reasons you want to stop, you can left click on the stop button.
- you can also activate the automatic fishing mode by pressing the F9 key.
- with this mode on, fishing is automated and you can chat with other people while the system catches fish for you.
- the mode will be deactivated automatically when you no longer have inventory capacity for more fish or when the rod's durability has been consumed.
- fishing can also be performed from the boat that you have rented.
- don't forget to place the anchor so the boat does not move due to waves.
- the boat can be returned back to the point where you rented it to receive back a sum of money.
Fishing with the Fishing Net¶
Placing the Fishing Net¶
- to fish with the fishing net you must have one in your inventory and start using it, hold the cursor on it and right-click then on use.
- a faster method of action is to place the rod in the inventory on one of the slots 1-5 and then by simply pressing the respective numeric key on the keyboard it will use that thing from the inventory.
- the fishing net must be placed in the water to be able to catch fish.
- you can move it using the mouse left, right, forward, backward, up or down using the axes that appear on the screen and once you have found the desired position press the ENTER key to place it or the BACKSPACE key to cancel the placement.
- after placing the net you will see a menu from where you can choose the bait you want to be attached to the net.
Collecting the Fishing Net¶
- above your fishing net you will notice a pink frame which fills as more fish are caught, showing the current and maximum capacity of the net.
- when the frame has filled to the end it means that the net can no longer catch more fish and they must be collected in due time or it will be destroyed along with the fish.
- the net can be collected even before it fills completely.
- to collect the net you must be next to it and holding down the ALT key you will open the interaction option and you will be able to select using the mouse by pressing left click the option to collect the net.
- the captured fish will then be deposited in the storage containers if you have purchased such or directly in the inventory.
- if you do not have enough space for all the captured fish you will lose the surplus.
Boosted Fishing Zone¶
- on the map you will notice in the North part a fishing area called Boosted Zone.
- this area is a special one which offers increased chances of catching rarer, bigger fish.
- so if you want your luck to be as high as possible it is advisable to use this area.
Selling Fish¶
- the fish can be sold to the NPCs at the fishing points by selecting from the menu the Sell Fish option.
- a second menu will open from where you can choose to sell certain types of fish or to sell all the fish.
- at that moment you will receive payment, skill points, XP points, Season Points and Daily Reward Points depending on the number of fish, the type of fish, the weight of the fish.
