2. Equipment¶
2.1 You may only wear the equipment of your rank or of lower ranks (e.g. a rank 4 member may wear a rank 1, 2 or 3 skin), while rank 5 members may wear any lower-rank skin (sanction: Verbal Warning on the first offense, Faction Warn on the next).
3. Department Vehicles¶
3.1 Do not use police vehicles for personal purposes (sanction: Faction Warn).
3.2 Respawn the department vehicles once you are done using them.
4. Traffic Team¶
4.1 The traffic team mainly handles issuing fines and suspending the driving licenses of players who break traffic rules.
4.2 Traffic team members are forbidden from using the [/confiscate illegal] command (sanction: Faction Warn). If a player caught by the radar is carrying illegal items, this can be announced on [/f], and a SWAT colleague will handle them.
4.3 Roads members may confiscate weapon ammunition in accordance with the General Department Rules.
4.4 Traffic team members of rank 1-3 may only arrest suspects whose wanted was issued by them, regardless of the wanted level issued (except wanted 6 without the right to surrender). They may also respond by killing suspects who attack them (sanction: Faction Warn).
4.5 Traffic team members may not go after suspects without the right to surrender (even if they issued the wanted themselves), regardless of rank. They may only respond by killing suspects who attack them, whether or not they have the right to surrender (sanction: Faction Warn).
4.6 Traffic team members are forbidden from using a personal vehicle (to lie in wait, issue fines, etc.). They must use department vehicles for traffic actions (sanction: Faction Warn).
4.7 It is forbidden to sanction wanted suspects when they break traffic rules.
Wanted
4.8 Only Roads members of Rank 4+ may go after wanted 1 and 2 with the right to surrender, regardless of where the suspect obtained their wanted. At SWAT's request, they may also intervene on players with wanted 3+.
4.9 Rank 1-3 members may only deal with suspects who received their wanted from them, as long as those suspects have the right to surrender.
4.10 If the SWAT team is outnumbered and needs reinforcements, they may ask the Roads team for help; Rank 4+ members may assist SWAT in specific interventions (e.g. Rob, mass DM, etc.).
4.11 An officer may arrest the suspect they gave a wanted to, regardless of the wanted issued, provided the suspect has the right to surrender.
4.12 You may not go after suspects with wanted 3+ if you did not issue their wanted yourself (sanction: Faction Warn).
4.13 Officers are required to patrol only with department vehicles.
4.14 Suspects with the right to surrender lose that right when they attack you at least 4 times with their fists or fire at least 1 weapon shot at you.
4.15 The Roads team may not go after a wanted without the right to surrender, even if they issued it themselves; instead, they may kill them if attacked.
5. Fines¶
5.1 When a player is fined they will get the option to accept or decline the fine, being automatically sanctioned if they refuse. If they have no money, they will be automatically sanctioned.
5.2 You may not fine a player to whom you gave a wanted 2 "Order Non-Compliance".
5.3 Any officer caught breaking traffic rules will pay a fine set by the Leader or Subleader.
5.4 It is forbidden to give money to those who cannot pay the fine (sanction: Faction Warn).
5.5 If the suspect does not accept the fine they will be automatically sanctioned.
5.6 If the player breaks multiple rules that would warrant several fines, the officer will choose at their discretion which of the fines to apply (sanction: Faction Warn).
5.7 You may not split the sanction given to players by applying only part of it, regardless of the situation. For example, you may not give a player ONLY the fine if the prescribed sanction is a fine and driving-license suspension (sanction: Faction Warn).
Fine Values
| Offense | Below Level 10 | Level 10+ |
|---|---|---|
| Illegal parking | 800$ | 4.000$ |
| Illegal driving | 1.600$ | 8.000$ |
| Speeding (under 50 km/h) | 1.000$ | 5.000$ |
| Speeding (over 50 km/h) | 2.000$ | 10.000$ |
| Headlights off (20:00 - 08:00) | 800$ | 4.000$ |
6. Driving¶
6.1 Driving is considered improper when a player drives in the oncoming lane for at least 6 seconds. If the player does not return to the correct lane within those seconds, the officer has the right to pull them over and sanction them. This rule also applies if the player uses sand, grass or other textures alongside the road to avoid the correct lane.
Exception
An exception is made to the rule above (6.1), and the player will be sanctioned, if they cause an accident involving another road user.
6.2 Driving is considered proper when the vehicle is entirely in its lane or even when it crosses very slightly into the opposite lane.
6.2.1 Driving is also considered proper when the player cuts across lanes at a 90-degree angle.
6.2.2 Driving is also considered proper when the player uses the grass, sand, etc. on the correct side of the road.
6.3 Obstructing other road users (traffic disturbance) is considered when a player intentionally and repeatedly hits other players with their vehicle.
6.4 If you catch a department member breaking traffic rules while off duty, you may report them to the Leader or Subleader.
6.5 You may not suspend a driving license for any reasons other than those provided in the rules.
6.6 An officer who issues a civil sanction to a player is required to inform them of the committed offense as well as the sanction that will be applied. If the offense was committed at a different time or even on a different day, the officer is additionally required to inform them, besides all the details mentioned above, of the day and time when they were caught breaking the law (sanction: Verbal Warning).
7. Parking¶
7.1 Parking is considered improper when a player leaves their vehicle in the middle of the road for more than 5 seconds.
7.2 It is also considered improper parking when a player stops in the middle of the road while at the wheel for more than 60 seconds.
8. Radar¶
Fixed Radar
8.1.1 To place a fixed radar you need approval from the Leader or Subleader. If you do not receive approval, you may not place a fixed radar.
8.1.2 You are required to have proof of the approval received. If you do not, you will be sanctioned with Faction Warn.
8.1.3 If a player passes through the radar, they will be automatically sanctioned and the money will go to the faction's safe; they do not need to be chased. Also, no activity-report points are awarded to the one who placed the radar.
8.1.4 A maximum of 5 fixed radars may be placed at the same time.
8.1.5 Fixed radars must be placed in plain sight, on the side of the road; you may not place them behind buildings, in bushes or in areas that obstruct visibility.
Mobile Radar
8.2.1 Before starting a radar patrol in a certain area you must ask 3 times on [/f], with at least 10 seconds between them, whether the area is free. If you receive no reply, you may set up the radar.
8.2.2 Players who exceed the speed limit (80, 120 or 150 km/h) by 1 - 5 km/h will not be sanctioned.
Important
If a colleague announces on [/f] that an area is being freed up and you have proof of that announcement, you may take over the area without asking again whether it is free.
8.2.3 You are required to have proof of those 3 questions on [/f]. If you do not, you will be sanctioned with Faction Warn.
8.2.4 You may not stay stationary with the mobile radar to catch speeding players; fixed radars are used for that purpose.
8.2.5 If you catch a player exceeding the legal limit, you must go after them and sanction them according to the rules.
8.2.6 If you catch a player driving improperly, you may sanction them.

9. Orders¶
9.1 If a player WITHOUT a wanted is a passenger in a car and you need to issue them a civil sanction, first pull over the driver, then, after they have stopped, order the passenger to get out.
10. Handling Civilians¶
10.1 Any player who is not part of a police department is considered a civilian.
