Stock Market (Trade Center)¶
The Trade Center system allows players to buy and sell share blocks of companies registered on the server.
Location and Access¶
The Stock Market is located in the square in front of City Hall in Los Santos.
- Approach the yellow marker on the ground and press the E key.
Share Mechanics¶
- Fixed number of shares: Every company has exactly 100 shares (1 share = 1% of the company, always). New shares are never issued. Upon founding, all shares belong to the founder.
- Limitations: You can be a shareholder in as many companies as you want simultaneously. You cannot buy your own listed shares.
Buying and Selling (Portfolio & Market)¶
- Selling (My Shares): In your Portfolio, you can list your shares for sale. You set the price per share, between $1,000 and $20,000,000 per share. A listing can be canceled for free at any time.
- Buying (For Sale): The buyer pays using cash first, then funds from their bank account. The seller receives the money in their bank account (minus state tax), even if offline.
Attention
Buying shares does not automatically make you an employee - you will not receive a salary unless you are also hired separately. Furthermore, if you wish to leave a company, you must first sell or transfer all of your shares.
